Let's Celebrate our Success!
All Circus volunteers were invited to our Circus Appreciation Dinner!
On February 15th, we shared a spaghetti dinner to celebrate the 2022 Elf Khurafeh Shrine Circus. The Circus Committee gave a report on the circus to let us know how well it went. Let's just say we made a few dollars this year! Doors opened at 6:00pm. A meal was provided at 6:30pm, and the Circus Committee presented their report on the Circus. Special thanks to the Circus Appreciation Committee for planning the evening:

NOTE FROM THE POTE:
I can't say thank you enough for ALL of the volunteers that came out to the Flint and Saginaw circuses! We had ticket sellers, Security, Hillbilly Clan 55 members, Tall Shriners, Clowns, LADIAS Clowns from El Said Ct #28, Midland Shrine Club/Mini Car guys! We had nobles working the ride lines, Divan ladies selling t-shirts, Past Potentates making sure the coloring books were taken care of, Past Potentate ladies working will-call, nobles and ladies selling coloring books, and so much more! A big thanks also goes to Brian Sabin, our Circus Chairman, and John Arnould, our Event Committee President. They worked tirelessly during the Circus to make sure all of the administrative details were handled. Thanks also to Oasis Shrine Club for bringing out a coffee maker! We also had donations from Donna's Donuts (donuts for the Flint Circus), Italia Gardens (Saturday lunch in Flint), Chief Rabban Ron Regalado (Saturday lunch in Saginaw), and some noble(s) made sure there were donuts in Saginaw. Thanks also to Bob & Tammy Hardin for making sure lasagna and salad made it to Chief Rabban Ron Regalado in Saginaw, and to Ron for heating it up and bringing to to the Dow for Sunday's meal. I am proud to say our hard work paid off! We knew going into this event that we shouldn't lose money. Our only real expense was purchasing bike to give away at each show's intermission. That expense wound up being very low due to donations by a few clubs and units, as well as individual nobles. We made money on hat sales, coloring book sales, and ride sales. If you want to know how we did, you'll need to come to the Circus Appreciation Dinner - see you there! Fraternally, Illustrious Sir Jeff Downing Potentate |
